Our Climate Challenge project, Waste Not Want, invites you to a Social Sunday programmed by Open Jar Collective, to learn about the cycle of nutrients that feeds us, how to nurture soil and what can we grow to feed ourselves.
Soil and stomach:
Join us for a skill share where we will explore the ancient art of fermentation – from sourdough bread to sauerkraut. Learn about the microbial communities that help us preserve food naturally and the health benefits of introducing more fermented foods into our diet.
How to make a compost bin:
Join us for a practical session of woodwork and learn how to make your very own compost bin.
Keeping it fresh:
We will learn how to prepare summer salads using fresh produce from KPC’s very own garden.
