This workshop is a legal briefing for activists in Scotland, covering important topics such as interactions with the police, your rights in ‘stop & search’ situations, and how we can best support ourselves and each other at protests and actions.

The Scottish Community & Activist Legal Project (SCALP) is a mutual aid collective of social and environmental justice activists that have been offering legal support across Scotland since 2009. We attend protests as legal observers, challenge police abuse, support people in the case of arrest, provide legal guidance, and run trainings and workshops on Scots law.

Children are welcome to attend but the training is aimed at adults so some content may inaccessible. The event is free and there is no need to book.
